SPAZIO K nasce nel 2017 nella Grande Cucina dei Sotterranei del Palazzo Ducale di Urbino per volontà di Peter Aufreiter, direttore della Galleria Nazionale delle Marche | Palazzo Ducale di Urbino, con l’intento di creare uno spazio permanente per l’arte contemporanea rivolto ai giovani artisti emergenti nati nelle Marche, o fortemente legati al territorio marchigiano, fuori dal circuito formativo.
In questa terza edizione dal titolo Il Tempo Dello Sguardo a cura di Massimo Vitangeli, saranno in mostra Paola Pasquaretta, Andrea Nacciarriti, Luisa Mé, Daniele Bordoni, Paola Tassetti, Filippo Berta, Patrizio Di Massimo. Il Tempo Dello Sguardo, tributo a Georges Didi-Huberman e al suo saggio Davanti all’immagine, è un’idea di rassegna che vede l’opera d’arte decentrata all’interno del paradigma dell’immagine, dove l’opera viene intesa come montaggio di tempi differenti che servono spesso a porre nuove questioni d’intellegibilità, in particolare quando riescono a comporre un ritmo particolare mostrando il battito vitale dell’opera. Un ritmo antropologico dell’arte che si confronta con il vedere contemporaneo rimettendo in gioco i regimi abituali della rappresentazione, aprendo lo sguardo verso un Sapere rivoluzionario fondativo del patrimonio artistico e culturale del Palazzo Ducale. Gli artisti invitati, in tale ottica, svilupperanno progetti incentrati ed evocativi dell’importante stratificazione culturale e artistica, rappresentata nella Galleria Nazionale delle Marche, dai magnifici maestri come Piero della Francesca, Paolo Uccello, Raffaello, o ne elaboreranno i concetti, le idee, le nozioni e le astrazioni edificando quella sensibilità profonda percettiva e cognitiva allo stesso tempo, che si muove perlopiù su terreni inediti e attraverso precise modalità di scrittura.
Come testimonianza degli eventi alla fine del ciclo delle mostre sarà prodotto e presentato un catalogo finale che raccoglierà tutti i progetti realizzati, la documentazione della messa in opera degli allestimenti e le inedite relazioni create tra i linguaggi dell’arte contemporanea e gli storici spazi di Palazzo Ducale.
Artisti in mostra Luisa Mè
La scelta di lavorare in coppia compiuta dai Luisa Mè (Francesco Pasquini e Luca Colagiacomo), è una scelta che si rivela strettamente correlata a una modalità creativa in cui il problema dell’autografia, della “originalità” del lavoro perde rilevanza a vantaggio di una visione progettuale, di una formatività soggetta a continue messe a punto dialettiche. Il linguaggio ha qui relativa importanza; ciò che conta è piuttosto l’atteggiamento di interrogazione che gli artisti assumono di fronte ai propri assunti e alle proprie stesse individualità creative. Quella di lavorare a più mani è una scelta decisiva per conferire all’opera il valore di una verifica dei poteri, di una indispensabile oggettivazione dell’altro all’interno di un processo per definizione singolare e incomunicabile come quello creativo.
E se c’è un orizzonte di libertà in cui perdersi senza domandarsi perché, i Luisa Mè ne sono i giusti paladini. Con le loro forme dissolte ed emblematiche nel progetto site specific Fainting in freedom (2019) costituito da una serie di dipinti su velluto e di piccole sculture, in buona parte consacrati alle figure dei Cavalieri, i Luisa Mè dispiegano un’ansia, tutta di origine etica, per la condizione umana. Cavalieri che attaccano e che si difendono, che divengono forme lacerate, tragiche, armature che proteggono ma celano paure, elmi che definiscono latitudini e longitudini dello sguardo, composizioni geometriche che richiamano l’oppiaceo piacere della riviera, e titoli; tutti ridotti ad un insieme disconnesso e frammentato, dove le figure sono pressoché un meticciato che sovverte il concetto di cultura, identità, appartenenza, evocativi di un dramma, di una tragedia che si consuma quotidianamente e di cui restano soltanto forme sventurate, alienate, enigmatiche, terrifiche, di uno scenario agitato, nervoso e altamente conflittuale, senza precedenti. Segnali di un’esuberante e dissoluta metamorfosi antropologica che con superfici taglienti, linee acute, squarci acidi di colori filmici, fendono lo spazio, lo spezzano in maniera violenta e niente sembra ormai restare dell’armonico rapporto fra l’uomo e il mondo.
LUISA MÈ. Francesco Pasquini (1991) nato a Pesaro & Luca Colagiacomo (1990) nato a Milano. Vivono e lavorano a Londra. Si sono diplomati all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Urbino. Dopodiché, […] Partirò, – disse Torrismondo nel campo dei Franchi- ne Il Cavaliere Inesistente di Calvino. E così che inizia la loro straordinaria storia artistica e di vita, caratterizzata dalla scelta di lavorare in coppia, strettamente correlata a una modalità creativa in cui il problema dell’autografia, della “originalità” del lavoro perde rilevanza a vantaggio di una formatività soggetta a continue messe a punto dialettiche. Nel 2017 realizzano la loro prima mostra personale dal titolo Look at me!, nella prestigiosa Galleria T293 di Roma. Successivamente nel 2018, concretizzano la seconda personale, He took me to a bar full of Sirens, alla Her Gallery di Londra. Nello stesso anno partecipano a Bocs di Cosenza, residenza artistica curata da Giacinto Di Pietrantonio e invitati da Simone Ciglia. Nel 2019 la terza, e non meno importante, personale dal titolo You are the others alla Union Gallery di Londra. Per poi approdare in questo stesso anno con Fainting in freedom, ad un significativo progetto site specific per la Galleria Nazionale delle Marche – Palazzo Ducale di Urbino, Italy.

SPAZIO K was founded in 2017 in the Great Kitchen of the Basement of the Ducal Palace in Urbino by Peter Aufreiter, director of the National Gallery of the Marche | Ducal Palace, with a view to create a permanent space for contemporary art aimed at emerging young artists born in or strongly connected to the Marche region, beyond the training courses.
In this third edition entitled The Time of the Look curated by Massimo Vitangeli, Paola Pasquaretta, Andrea Nacciarriti, Daniele Bordoni, Luisa Mé, Paola Tassetti, Filippo Berta and Patrizio Di Massimo will be on show. The Time of the Look, as a tribute to Georges Didi-Huberman and his essay Devant l’image, is an idea of exhibition that sees the artwork decentralized within the paradigm of the image, where it is intended as the assembly of different times that often help to pose new questions of intelligibility, especially when they succeed in composing a particular rhythm showing the vital beating of the work. An anthropological rhythm of art that is confronted with the contemporary look by putting back in play the habitual rules of representation, looking towards a revolutionary Knowledge that founded the artistic and cultural heritage of the Ducal Palace. In this perspective, the invited artists will develop projects focused on and evocative of the important cultural and artistic stratification, represented in the National Gallery of the Marche by the magnificent masters such as Piero della Francesca, Paolo Uccello, Raphael, or they will elaborate their concepts, ideas, notions and abstractions building up that deep sensitivity, both perceptive and cognitive, which moves mostly on new ground and through precise ways of expression.
At the end of the series of exhibitions, a final catalog will be published and presented to collect all the projects realized, the documentation of the set-ups as well as the unprecedented relationships created between the languages of contemporary art and the historic spaces of the Ducal Palace.
Artists on show Luisa Mè
The decision to work as a duo by Luisa Mè (Francesco Pasquini and Luca Colagiacomo) is closely related to a creative mode where the issue of authorship, of the work “authenticity” loses relevance to the advantage of a project vision, of a formavity subject to constant dialectical adjustments. Here language has a limited importance; what matters is rather the artists’attitude of questioning their own assumptions and their own creative individualities. Working jointly is a crucial choice to give the artwork the value of a test of the powers, of a necessary objectification of the other within a process that is by definition singular and incommunicable like the creative process.
And if there is a horizon of freedom to get lost in without wondering why, Luisa Mè are its fair paladins. With their dissolved and emblematic shapes in the site-specific project Fainting in freedom (2019) consisting of a series of paintings on velvet and small sculptures, most of them devoted to the figures of Knights, Luisa Me deploy anxiety, completely of ethical origin, for the human condition. Knights who attack and defend themselves, who take lacerated, tragic shapes, armor that protect but conceal fears, helmets defining latitudes and longitudes of the look, geometric compositions that recall the opiate pleasure of the coast, and titles; all of them reduced to a disconnected and fragmented whole, where the figures are almost a miscegenation subverting the concept of culture, identity, belonging, evocative of a drama, of a tragedy that is consumed every day and where only unlucky, alienated, enigmatic shapes remain of an agitated, terrifying, nervous and highly conflicting, unprecedented scenario. Warnings of an exuberant and dissolute anthropological metamorphosis with cutting surfaces, sharp lines, acid gashes of filmic colors slit the space, violently break it and nothing seems to be left of the harmonious relationship between man and the world.
LUISA MÈ. Francesco Pasquini (1991, Pesaro) and Luca Colagiacomo (1990, Milan) live and work in London. They both graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts Urbino. After which, […] I will leave – said Torrismund in the Franks military camp – in The Nonexistent Knight by Calvino. This is how their extraordinary artistic and life story begins, characterised by the decision to work together, strongly linked to a creative mode in which the problem of autography, of “originality” of their work looses relevance in favour of a growth, subject to continuous dialectical adjustments. In 2017 they make their debut with a solo show entitled Look at me!, at the prestigious T293 Gallery in Rome. Later in 2018, they have their second solo show, He took me to a bar full of Sirens, at Her Gallery in London. The same year they attend the artist residency at Bocs in Cosenza curated by Giacinto Di Pietrantonio and invited by Simone Ciglia. In 2019 they have their third solo show entitled You are the others at Union Gallery in London. This same year they are landing with Fainting in freedom, a significant site-specific project for the National Gallery of Marche – Ducal Palace in Urbino, Italy.
